Risk Management Panel Discussion

Effective, pragmatic risk management is essential to tackling the challenges facing the maritime industry, cyber security presents the global maritime community new and ever- changing issues to adapt to. Many existing risk management practises provide effective steers on how to; manage, mitigate or transfer our developing cyber risks. However, the changing nature of our industry means that legacy equipment will becomes increasingly out of date and/or unsupported, new IT and OT will become increasingly automated, and, the range of services or supply chains will get longer.

This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to gain perspectives on risk management from different experts within our community. Giving a focal point for discussion during this session and throughout the conference. As well as discussing the nature of the changing global threat, the panel will discuss real world impacts to the maritime industry and the increasing likelihood we are seeing of attacks being successful.

The outcome of the discussion will support ongoing work within the Risk Management Working Group. This outcomes of this session will feed into subsequent sessions taking place throughout the conference. It is also hoped that delegates have the opportunity to learn from each other and develop their networks.
