DESCRIPTION:Ensuring Effective Information Sharing in the International Mar
 itime Sector\n\n\nEffective information sharing is not only about sharing 
 information in case of an incident. It is necessary to build a trusted com
 munity and to make arrangements to share such information safely and effec
 tively. Effective information sharing is also about knowing and learning f
 rom one another. Building a trusted community takes time. But we can start
  with getting to know each other\, make a national point of contact list\,
  share information about reports\, strategies\, ISACs and other relevant i
 nformation to build the community.\n\nThe Information Sharing working grou
 p will organize a panel session to talk about how to ensure effective info
 rmation sharing in the international maritime sector.\n\nThe aim of the pa
 nel session is to stress the importance to start to share relevant informa
 tion. Best practices of the maritime community will be highlighted. Panel 
 members of the public and private sector and a member of an ISAC will disc
 uss various topics with regards to information sharing. The panel session 
 will be an opportunity to identify the possibilities of information sharin
 g on the short term and the long term. Possibilities and dos and donts of 
 using a (secure) platform to share information will be one of the topics.
